I dont know if anybody has done this but I was watching a show. They were talking about DNS and benchmarking is.

Thank you so much. Gave it a run and from my corner, the Business DNS server from my ISP gives best response time with Google in on 3rd. Still when I use Google I get the best Speedtest results.
----------------------------------------GRC provides some great tools I've been using through the years, mostly to test which ports on my computer are not secured (ShieldsUp!)

well I believe the DNS benchmark is still being developed but sure gives a good idea. i could not do it my isp provider seams to be stopping me. i haven't had the time to look into it further but happy to know it worked for you. I know someone that has bin using Spinright which seams to be a good program. i have bin using Spybot and destroy as well as the anti- virus protection thing that my isp provider has hardwired into the modem so you can not uninstall it. this is Bell Canada. i did it once took 210 hours to get my internet, talking over the phone with people that seam to have never experienced this before. I am okay with the internet but... then again i am not.
