Re: The Formula One Thread

We could do without these challenges and last minute changes in the rules of the game. It appears we are in for more of this next weekend when some teams declare others have misinterpreted the new construction rules to their advantage.
At times like this I can see the advantage in the alternative season where every driver has the same car and proves who is best at the wheel.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Another case of poor management
Leaving rules open to interpretation. Those F1 engineers will wring the last bit out.

quote Max Mosley
"One possibility is that all the teams agree that it is illegal, and therefore all the teams shouldn't have it from Barcelona. But then those teams who say it is legal will say 'Why should we do that?' And those that say it's illegal will say 'Why should we lose an advantage for four races?'
"And so probably what will happen is it will end up going to the stewards, who will make a decision. That will almost certainly be appealed by whichever side is disadvantaged. And then that will go to our Court of Appeal and be hammered out."

Re: The Formula One Thread

I see that Brawn and the others subject to an appeal by Ferrari and others have passed the first test of the Stewards in Australia.

There will, of course, be an appeal and so the cloud may well hang over the first two Grand Prix.

I just hope what looked to be a much more open season than of late does not descend into a farce.
