Re: The Formula One Thread

It looks pretty interesting. Let's hope all the wind tunnel testing really will have solved the air flow so that overtaking is a real possibility.

Have to wait and see what McLaren's design looks like.

You haven't put a bid in for Honda Jean?

Re: The Formula One Thread

Well, I see McLaren launched their new car today. It doesn't look much different from the Ferrari but with all tied by the same regulations I guess the wind tunnel comes up with similar figures and it's only the fine tweaks that make the difference - and how good the engine is course.
And Ron Dennis says he's standing down - again!

Tiny back wing, huge front (driver variable) wing, no additional areodynamic adornments and slicks are back. New F1 Spec courtesy of the Overtaking Working Group raised eyebrow . All cars now pseudo hybrids with KERS and 5.75% bio fuel( rolling eyes)

makes for a classically wirey looking car like the Cooper F1 cars of old

smile

29th March can't come soon enough biggrin

Hi Jean Pierre

No problem... I'm sure it will help Ferrari with their aerodynamic tweaks wink

FIA agrees cost-cutting measures for F1

Motorsport's ruling body announced a raft of new measures Friday to help cut the cost of competing in Formula One.

The FIA reached the deal with F1 teams during crisis talks with F1 teams in Monaco Wednesday in the wake of Honda's shock withdrawal from the sport last Friday... wink
