Re: The Formula One Thread

Radical stuff coming out from little Bernie,
The winner of the Title "World champion Driver"
will be the Guy(or Gal) that wins the most races.

No more sitting in a safe second place slot biggrin
Like its Ok to overtake
Some technical freedom to come but a financial cap of around 40$million, thats in 2010 tho'
Hope it works

Re: The Formula One Thread

I've no objection to the change in the championship rules but it clearly galled some people after last year. Before that there were very few occasions when the result would have been any different.

The interesting point is what difference it might make to team orders. Will Kimi again have to give way to Massa if a win rather than points is critical?

Re: The Formula One Thread

And just a week to go 'till the start of the real thing.

Interestingly, I went through the BBC web site today and listened to some of the new reporting team talking about the coming season and where threats of wins might come from.

Clearly all recorded a little while ago as there was no mention that the Brawn might actually be in the mix.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Here we go agai sad racing hasn't started yet.
But the winner takes the Cup rule, is now not to come in to effect until next year.It seems they have thought about it and the championship could be over after the half way point has been passed . ie if the same driver had won all races up to Germany he would be the man to get the title
