Re: The Formula One Thread

Not good news for Jensen (after paying out all that cash not to go to Williams)

Do you think this will be the end of the Road for Rubens?

Re: The Formula One Thread

Such a pity that a name like Honda disappears from the scene but I suspect it may not be the only casualty as the recession bites.

As we can see from sponsors already getting out of Tiger Woods, many commercial concerns will be re-thinking their strategy and wondering whether they can afford the costs despite worldwide television coverage.

I think the medal idea is crazy. Not because Hamilton wouldn't have won the championship on that basis but because what happens all down the field has to matter if the racing is about anything other than a few top names battling it out for supremacy.

Re: The Formula One Thread

If you have a formula 1 car, now is the time to cocoon it and save it for the 2033 vintage car rally.

Re: The Formula One Thread

What do you think of the cost cutting proposals?

Quite apart from the technical points of engine design and testing limits, the idea of no tyre warmers and no refuelling portends a different sort of race entirely.

I can't wait even though it not 09 but 10 when it comes into effect.

Re: The Formula One Thread

It looks pretty interesting. Let's hope all the wind tunnel testing really will have solved the air flow so that overtaking is a real possibility.

Have to wait and see what McLaren's design looks like.

You haven't put a bid in for Honda Jean?

Re: The Formula One Thread

The F60 looks narrower but that's because of the rear wing I heard. The front wing goes as low as the floor.
And of course, slicks! cool
