Re: Gold Silver Bronze

The Register is kind of how I found out about this in the first place, but it was a real challenge to get an answer from them on anything. WCG has also been rather quiet.

Real Life has been busy but I am trying to keep 18 cores chunking along. I have 5 years done on current projects and will kick them up one at a time if I can.

Glad to see you posting again. You have been quiet for a while. Hope things are going well for you.
Cheers

Re: Gold Silver Bronze

Not posted much myself either, for much the same reason, life/work getting in the way. Computers took their usual summer vacation, but have been fired up again now. I'm aiming to push the current projects up to 20 years each, but this may take a while, especially for HSTB!

about the same with lots of real life details.

This one runs 24/7 all year unless there is a lightning storm or I am out of town, which I will be in a week for 2 weeks. Actually a laptop with 4 cores runs at half power all the time so it can contribute a little anytime.
I have 5 years done for current projects except that TB thing. I have a hard time getting something to run from them since there must not be many. I am doing the others 1 at a time to pick up 10 years.

There were supposed to be some new Russian project mentioned in the news but I have not seen them yet.

Re: Gold Silver Bronze

I had 7+ years for O.E.T. but couldn't make 10 before the project ended.

I'm pushing M.C.M. out a bit. It is 15 days less than 8 years.
I still can't get much from Help Stop TB but aren't going to run that as the only one.

Smash Childhood Cancer should end this month if you are running it. Check your projects.

Re: Gold Silver Bronze

If you look here you will see SCC is not ending anytime soon, despite what the research pages says. The TB project is down to less than 100 work units per day. I have 70+ threads and have not seen one in a couple of weeks. Good luck.
Cheers

Re: Gold Silver Bronze

Just thought I'd pop by to wish everyone a happy new year, bit late I know, but for various reasons it's been a busier start to the year than I had planned. I totally forgot about WCG and the machines were left to fend for themselves.

It was only today I looked in on them to check they were fine (one wasn't and needed a little TLC to get it crunching again) that I thought to look in over here.

I hope all is well with everyone and that you all have a great 2019.

Re: Gold Silver Bronze

and the same to everybody.

My wife tripped on a handicapped ramp and went flying. It did not have a railing, which seems insufficient. She broke her arm and is in the hospital.

I just put a new machine online.
one with 6 cores AMD
one with 8 cores
a laptop with 4 cores running at half power, Dell military version. Heavy, but nice.
the new desktop with 12 cores. Intel runs a lot quieter than one of the AMD machines.
This one is Windows 10, so may be a learning curve.

Very sorry to hear that. I hope she has a speedy recovery.
