Hmm, do we need to kick the BOINC validators again or is this something else?
----------------------------------------HPF2 WU la484_ 00018-- Currently show 11 Pending Validation (thought that was enough for quorum) and 7 others (In process - did it not get sent out to one?) |

I'm not asking you to do anything. I'm just frustrated by this whole process. Many projects do not require validation before points are awarded. The WCG process seems more complex than it has to be. The assumption here seems to be a WU is not good until proven otherwise. We are doing research here, so the calculation is not know beforehand. The calculators are not certified and on the property of the scientists, so could be anything out there. Many are overclocking their computers with unreliable results or have bad hardware parts. Some junk gets through, so duplicate workunits must be compared. There may still be some old Pentiums out there that generate 1+1=1.9995 and call it 2. Those may now be too slow for us, but the idea is there.
