Right, BOINC WU's don't get validated until three results have been returned. It's the "quorum of 3" method and I know there's a post somewhere that explains it but I'm drawing a blank trying to find it. I'm sure someone will post a link to it though. If any one of those three users don't return the result by the deadline, the WU gets sent out to another user to crunch until they have the three results. Well, that's the basics. When you look at error, inconclusives and such, there's a little more detail but the basics are the same.

From the early warning system to knreed ...... think with almost an hour of in 'Pending', the FAAH validator needs a urging on again!

added: a HDC send in 8:24:51 UTC validated immediately. FAAH still pending.

Yea - the validator stopped again. It is running now. It will take about 30 minutes to catch up.

Can you please provide more information about this? I just checked and for every result that you have returned that has been validated you have earned credit. Which results do you think should have earned you credit that you haven't received credit for?

You currently have 4 results that are 'pending validation'. For an explanation of that please read the posts above.

Something funny is going on with BOINC. My BOINC computer has been trying to return a result for the last 2 hours. The message it writes is 'Message from server: Server can't open database' then on the next line 'Project is down'. I expect that they are doing some early Sunday morning maintenance. This is their favorite time of the week for changes.

Not to worry! Just wait it out.

added: Successful connection just 10 minutes after posting this! Then a complaint the server was down again half an hour later. Up - Down - Up - Down. Must be Sunday morning maintenance.
