I'm at a loss. Are you sure the machine has picked up the 2 day setting? Perhaps you should post your entire client_state file.

Well Ady, if that value is chronically at that value or worse, it certainly means that your hourly claim is higher than it is actually performing at. That number is continually adjusted, whereas the benchmark values are not....only every 5th day. I've been knowing for a long time that my machine does HDC real well....why... because my hours are equal or better in the quorum, but the claim is on the low side..... so what.

Between yours and mine is like 50% DCF differential..... u are most welcome in any of my quorum. Before that give me your Dhry/Whetstone values. though ;>)

It's not an unduly high DCF. Mine is 2.3 or something. I wish the DCF was factored into the credit calculation.

Well I changed the preferences from Work to Home to see if it showed in the messages log, and it came up 12/11/2006 13:20:29|World Community Grid|New host venue: home - so I assume its picking things up.

I also recently could not get my preference for "time to connect" to update from my preferences on the web page (even tried changing profile to a different one and back, etc..). I eventually just went in and changed the appropriate "host venue" setting in my global_prefs.xml file and that worked (but I still haven't figured out why it doesn't update from the web).

After you have saved the setting on the website, you need to wait for the BOINC agent to communicate with the WCG servers. This may take a while, but you can speed things up by selecting the WCG project in BOINC Manager and hitting "update".

Fraid not - I really can't understand why either, maybe I will have to try a new install?
