Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I got 2 for my PPC mac, which surprises me. I'm glad they are going to make work units for us who have PPCs.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I'm in Two Harbors until Friday. We have quite a blizzard on hand. Less than a quarter mile visibility and snowing like crazy! Kind of fun if you don't have to drive.

Got a Clean Energy Beta work unit on my mac book. The estimated completion time is 25 hours!

Yeah, it is looking quite ugly here also. I94 is closed west of Fergus Falls.
I would not recommend any travel in the St. Cloud area either. The bands of snow have been coming and going, but when it snows, it is pretty heavy. I think Bearcat will be busy tomorrow.

I am guessing the beta units require at least 1 gb of memory so they are all out of my class. Also the time estimate on the betas is quite variable so it will be interesting tosee just how it does.

Cheers

It just started snowing again pretty hard again here in Two Harbors. Very very windy.

That Clean Energy beta unit download was 17meg!!! Crazy big! The time estimates are way off. Started at 25 hours and it looks like it will finish in 5.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

here in Wadena, we have around 6inches of snow and allot of wind and drifts,
I ended up with 5 cep beta's the est. time for me says 35hr but now it is around: beta_E000338_053A_002511001_1 cpu time 09:19:00 Progress: 53.062% to completion: 12:26:11. my other one that I am running is saying around 20-24hr I looked at my task manager, and both beta's are using around 50-60 mb of memory

I finished my first cep beta, listed above, took me little over 18hr's
