Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Got my silver gingerbread man today. Whoa! Finally got my mac pro upgraded from a quad to an octo. Should be online in a week. Bumped it from a 2 ghz to a 2.33 ghz. Anyone need a pair of dual core xeons?

How much are you asking and what kind of motherboard would they take ?

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I just noticed this team, and since I live in Plymouth, MN I thought I would join.

You would need a server mobo. Single or dual socket. $250.00 for both. They are 3 years old. Nice thing about xeon's is no pins. Just drop in. Check new egg or micro center in the twin cities for the mobo.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hey you mac users. You need to go to machiest.com and buy your 39 dollar bundle of software. Very cool stuff in this bundle and 25% of the cost goes to charity.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I just ordered a GTX 295 and going to join GPUGRID. It looks like it will double my BOINC points, but unfortunatley will not help here. It does not look like WCG is planning on taking advantage of CUDA any time soon. crying
