Wow, that's a lot of snow (in both Minnesota and Finland)!
----------------------------------------We were lucky that the snow stayed north of here. We got the sudden drop in temperature -- high of 67 yesterday, wind chill of 17 this morning -- but only a dusting of snow. ![]() |

99 centimeter (39 inch) here. With this I mean that if working on step-ladders, it is legal to rise up to high of 99 centimeters (39 inch). If some daredevil need necessary to climb up to 100cm (39 inch), then ladder need criterian mentioned on: Law of Finland 205-2009, Chapter 6, §32, Attachment 6. Got some foreign dudes coming to perform cabling and they do not bring their own ladders. Think that I will perform ladder-parts myself on dark night. For secure, need to take pocket flask of hard liquor in case of somebody will spot me. Just need to sip it with one swig and tell that like to get drunk on high places. That way they never/ever can prove that I was sober and working ![]() You may not even need a step ladder. Seems to me somewhere you mentioned you were about 2m tall. Cheers

You may not even need a step ladder. Seems to me somewhere you mentioned you were about 2m tall. Cheers I was able to found these. Finn-made (265€), Chines (not-so-compiant-with-local-law) cost around twenty €uroes. But still, it is not aloud to climb any higher than 199 cm (6,5 feet), after that need to construct some scaffolding. I do not even dare to check law&price about those, need some booze first. When I was on school, it was (quite litteraly) more like this kind of philosophy: http://youtu.be/e1ioz21VqYk ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ultimaThule at Nov 12, 2014 1:12:11 PM] |

I was able to found these. Finn-made (265€), Chines (not-so-compiant-with-local-law) cost around twenty €uroes. That looks like safety run amok. Does it also come with a layer of foam rubber for the floor if you happen fall off ? Guess these would be out of the question in Finland.Stepladder Cheers

Would be hard to impelent, since annex six of §32 determn that ratio need to be 1:1,5 and upper step need to be able to take 1,5kN from unfavourable angle. There fore on those my ladders, horisontal base bar is 90 cm (3 feet) when most upper step is on 1,46 m ( 4,8 feet). There was also bigger ones on store, grand mighty 2 m ( 6,5 feet ) but support bar was 130 cm ( 4,3 feet). I got thinner corridores.... So those your ladders would look like this here: ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ultimaThule at Nov 14, 2014 6:52:48 AM] |
