My internet service has been spotty the last two days. Clear reported they had a tower down, but I have been able to get service(just barely) from another tower. It has been in and out constantly. Must have had something to do with the last storm. There was a lot of lightning. Some hit one of the oldest schools in St. Cloud and it burned down. Now it is just a pile of rubble.

My internet is back finally. It went out last night. I talked to Clearwire today and they said they had a tower outage, so there was nothing to do but wait. Whatever it was they appear to have it fixed.

I'd be hitting them up for a partial rebate. Don't give them any slack. These ISP's seem to be getting worst these days. I can tell when they are throttling on mine. Get the newly aquired crunchers going yet?

Almost got to the point of having a dry basement again, but got 1.25 inches (3cm) of rain again last night. Might be more again today. Just keep pumping I guess.
----------------------------------------New crunchers not yet up and running. Too busy with other activities. Maybe I shouldn't have retired, I seemed to have more time when I was working. Maybe next week things will slow down a bit. Cheers

Just for something a little different. We had this visitor to the yard recently, the first time we have seen a scarlet tanager in many years. Sorry, it is a little out of focus, but it was hard to take through the door without scaring him away.

Nice pic
---------------------------------------- Found some audio from Internet and sound like local birds, but sure there is nothing that would look like that even remotely. Would be kind of spooky to meet if hear singing first (association to gray) and then see those colors. Kind of same as this snapping turtle.. Well, now I know origin of expression with flying colors. I poop my pants with flying colors. ![]() |

I used to own a 1989 Buick Electra Park Avenue. But unfortunately my wife had an fairly serious accident. She is very sore and bruised but otherwise OK. The seat belt, I am sure , saved her life. She was hit near the driver's side front wheel an pushed off to the side of the road where she hit a light pole head on. Cars are replaceable but people are not.

Thank god she is safe. Gives me the chills looking at that. Was it a teen or one of the illegals that hit her to cause this?

Nice to hear that she's fine.
----------------------------------------Some flying colors from this side. Large emerald, biggest moth on thule. Nocturnal and lost it colors in few days, usually on first rain. So kind of rare on daytime on those colors. Not so rare on pale yellow. ![]() ![]() |

Thank god she is safe. Gives me the chills looking at that. Was it a teen or one of the illegals that hit her to cause this? Neither, it was a middle aged person, probably the first accident they ever had. I appreciate your concern. She is sore, but recovering. Cheers
