That bites. Forgot to post earlier that I shut down my rigs while on vacation. 78 degrees now here in Cozumel. I feel for you folks. Hate to come back Monday to 10 degrees. Stay safe everyone. That wet heavy snow froze on all the roads. We now have glare ice intersections. I saw on the news that there were spots on the freeways in the Twin Cities where it was too slick to make it up some small hills and backed up the freeways for miles and miles. I am so glad I do not have to put up with that rat race every day. I have gotten way too comfortable with the sparser traffic here. Welcome back on Monday. Hope you had someone do your driveway while you were gone. Cheers

Son in law was taking care of it. Talked to my brother this morning for the scoop. Sounds pretty bad there. Glad I drove my jeep to the cities. Hope the roads are better by Monday. Take care folks.

Back home to the cold tundra. Brrrr. Think I will go back to 84 degrees cozumel. Back to crunching again too.

He cleaned it thursday evening but by the time I got home monday night, driveway was drifted pretty good. Glad i had the jeep. 3 hours of plowing tuesday to clean it all up. Will be glad when spring comes but think floods are coming. Way to much snow this year.

Greeting all. We have finally emerged from the deep freeze. As I write this it is 33F(0.5C). The sun is shining and I have not had to clean my driveway for over a week. It feels positively balmy outside. We did have freezing rain yesterday which left a slick coating of ice on everything. Driving was perilous for a couple of hours in the morning. Numerous trucks and cars were off the rad on the freeway I94. Even walking was bad because the ice was so slick. Things are much better today. The sun makes all of the snow sparkly with the ice covering. It will be a good day to get all of the ice dams off of my house.

Today certainly does feel like the end of a long, hard winter season. Hopefully we will stay above freezing for the most part from here on out.
