Re: Minnesota Crunchers

This past week was wicked cold. Next week is just rediculously bitter cold. Stay warm team.
Just about to hit my goal of 100 years crunching. biggrin

I think I will be a couple of weeks behind you to hit that level. However, you will have done a whale of a lot more work for your years than I have. Next Tuesday the high should be around -10 F (-23C). That will surely keep my crunchers in the shed cool. laughing
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

GPU crunching helped with that.
Next 2 days are going to be real bitter cold. Not looking forward to it. Old bones don't like it.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Yeah, it is -2F(-19C) now. Looks like it won't be back above 0 F until sometime on Wednesday. They have dropped the high on Monday to -14F(-25C). Hopefully the wind does not get too bad.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

OK, we are back to more moderate weather, 20F (-6C) this morning. It may be over 32F(0C) later today and again tomorrow. Woohoo. I can hardly wait to get my heat bill now. I think it is going to be a whopper. The cold weather was a little hard on the chickens and I lost about 4 of them. This is how the flock gets culled in the winter. The ones who can not survive the cold are usually the old ones who are no longer productive. Even with the heat lamps going, I have to change the water twice a day when it gets less than -15F(-26C) because it will still freeze up.
I see we have lost a couple of more members, Knitter and Danny Blue. Good luck and productive crunching to them where ever they land.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Thanks. Thinking of selling my duallie and just crunch with my hex. Still have an itch to build a quad socket system. Will wait to see if AMD goes through with the next gen chips...
