Re: Minnesota Crunchers

My range extender hung again and I was up to 13 pages of "pending verifications." I am now down to 5 pages. It looks like I should go back to doing a re-set on it about every third day or so. I wish I knew why it hangs for no apparent reason.

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I am crunching Collatz on my little laptop's GPU. I keep a maximum cache for Asteroids, CPU only, but wish to keep minimal work on hand for Collatz. The Boinc manager does not support this but there is a <fetch_minimal_work> command for a cc_config file which will do the trick. Problem is the config file goes in the Boinc data folder where it affects all projects. My idea is to put the command in an app_info file in the project directory. Does anyone know if this will work?

It has been a bit quiet lately. Hardly felt like summer was over for a while with temperatures in the 90'sF(35'sC). Thankfully that has abated. Finally got 1.5 in(3.75cm) rain after about a month with close to nothing.
I have started on a new project volunteering with helping to tutor students in 6,7 and 8th grades in mathematics fundamentals. This has been a big change for me and I am drowning in paperwork. Hopefully I get used to it and some of the students benefit.
Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Sure sound so nice, break a neck or how you express there.

I'm human carcase myself right now.
Did travel here to my hometown (born here) yesterday, it was stormy and dark night so did take everything out of it.
Just walk from park to park to park.. There was so huge wind that rain was horizontal, so was soaked wet after two minutes, but I was on my childhood landscape so did not actually notice it so much.
I mean, I was always soaked wet when kid.. So what the heck, b.a.u.

It was so magical, I was literately only person on these relatively huge parks.
It was so very nice, it just was so very beautiful, so tranquil, like another planet.
There was any interfaces to my prolez-me, I was totally on another world. I was kid again, you know when everything is so fine because you breath.

Well, now have to pay the price. Think there is something wrong on right metatarsus, it yells out aloud with every step.
Rest of crop just shaking without me to have any control of it.
But sill, still would do it again. Kind of odd that high note of adult man can be something like six hours sub-arctic autumn rain.

Well, nothing that bottle of wine could not fix.
Heading to check what my home community fellows has build up. Nice meal, and some very nice concert on evening on best acoustic hall on Nordic:

Cheers fellows, cheers!

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

That sounds like you had quite a good time even if you got wet. The last time I checked, we were all washable anyway. Sometimes that period of tranquil solitude is just what the doctor ordered (perfect).

Unfortunately here the Minnesota Orchestra has been having a labor dispute with the musicians. There has been a lockout of the musicians and bickering back and forth between the musicians and management. The Music Director Osmo Vanska ( http://www.minnesotaorchestra.org/about/artists-and-performers/music-director) has told both sides that if they do not settle their differences by October 1st he will quit and go elsewhere and cancel the entire season. Or something that effect anyway. I think this has been going on almost a year already. Maybe if they have a deadline they will come to common terms.
Cheers
