Re: Minnesota Crunchers

ultimaThule, I often wonder what brought you to Minnesota Crunchers.
Well it gets cold in Finland as well as in Minnesota, but there could be another reason
you might want to tell us. Please.
Sorry blushing I'm fairly curious.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I find Maria Lake and Bunt Lake some 7-8 kilometers
- you have been to Germany; they do metric -
SW from Clearwater city center.
I also find several lakes north of the Mississippi River, but I'll put my money
on one of the two I mentioned, Bearcat.
Don't ask why, please.

Look to the coldest direction. Do you have a gps that also shows landmarks and POI's? Hint: Not far from those that always rest. shhh

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I found it!
It's right where tanner2's grandma's baking stone is
- next to the cemetery smile

My GPS does have a POI feature, but couldn't come up with any landmarks.
I just wrote Garmin and suggested they list that baking stone .....

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Clear Lake, Bearcat
It has been fairly exhausting.
Can we have a beer now?

Wrong lake. Thought you got real close. Try this, go NW of Clearwater within 5 miles. Use google maps. You figured the folks who always rest. You should see what lake I'm talking about. There is a camp ground next to the folks who always rest. What's the name? As for the beer, there is a nice tavern in Clearwater, on corner of hwy 24 and county rd 75. Beer is on me, but, am leaving out of town tomorrow for a week vacation.
Trying to figure out what the shark with wrench would mean. confused

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Howdy all! I've got some fond memories camping at Lake Itasca State Park in the 80s when I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB, ND. Had fun walking across the Mississippi River :)
