Re: Minnesota Crunchers

It is going to be close. I only have 300 days right now.

I'm likely to just miss sapphire as well -- I hope there turn out to be more than 6 weeks left.

I really thought I had more time being it's the newest project. I made the mistake of turning off my PCs when I went on vacation for 12 days in july. Also on hot days I turned them off. From now on it's 24/7 until the blue badge is achieved on all posible projects. I'm not going to get trapped again.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Should have reduced the cores instead of shut down to keep them cool but running some. If you get to close but know you can't make it, let me know. Can switch one of my 12 core rigs to your account to get you over the hump.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Hello fellows smile

Some pics....

Last one is funny, I tried capture that "claustrophobic" experience, what only those some very old elevators can offer...

I'm big person on vertically (195cm / 6' 6'') but not on what comes to horizontal matters (80kg / 175 lb).
So very literary, inside hull of lift is not much more that relatively skinny person shoulders...

I think that on light of current legislation, that could be build as freight lift or something, but never ever as person carrier....

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Nice pictures. The fountain is quite picturesque. Not sure what type of plants are around it, but they look like some variety of hostas maybe. That is some picture of you in the elevator. Yes, you appear quite slim. Some of us were built more on the low rise style 5'4" (162 cm), but displace almost the same mass 165 lbs(74.8kgs). It seems each year I add 3/4 lb. or so since high school(more than 40 years ago) when I was 135lbs (61.2kgs). My wife cooks way too well. love struck

In the second picture are those traffic cameras on the corner of the building (upper left hand corner) ?

Cheers

Well, on qualitative matter.. If you are interesting who is moving instead of how many...
Not lot traffic on that hood, old zone from horse era, so streets there are some very narrow.

Apropoo,
there is third cam on pic also, right next to entrance.
There is this white "bell" under lamp, that is actually dome of surveillance cam.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Congrats on the about-to-be emerald CFCW. I won't be there for a few more days, but am picking up about 14 days per calendar day now.

Edited to add: This is hilarious. Sekerob's chart currently says 36 more days of CFCW. To get to sapphire if I'm delivering 14 days per calendar day would take me 36.4 more days! I'd been thinking maybe I'd just stop at emerald, but if I'm that close, I'm going to get back to nagging my husband to let me crunch on his laptop during the nights. That should put me over easily. :) I know this is just the fun-and-games part of crunching, but it IS fun so might as well enjoy the challenge.

Hope both you and brink make it to sapphire. Now might be the time to tap a few friends to see if you can borrow a few cycles from them. If they let you install BOINC you might actually get a few of them interested not only for a short haul for this project, but maybe for a long haul in others. Good luck.

Cheers
