My son has posted more photo's from our vacation. Go to the top and click older.
He also slipped 2 Townsend's Solitaire pictures on from last winter. Don't know why. It's hard to figure out the mind of a 23 year old sometimes. |

Bearcat, Here it is, you did want bear/deer/beer right? ![]() Oh yeah. How about deer and beer on a bear rug bare with a loved one in front of a fire place or outdoor camp fire! I guess I better shut up before little mermaid gets mad at me. ![]()

Once again a big welcome to all of the Base Campers. I can tell you all have the pedal to the metal.
----------------------------------------With the help of a friend, finished butchering the deer. Unfortunately the impact of the crash made some of the meat unsalvageable, but did get the tenderloins, the back steaks and the hind quarters. The front shoulders and ribs were bruised pretty badly. We saved what we could. All those beer pictures are making me thirsty. Here is the local brew: http://coldspringbrewery.com/?page_id=70 Cheers

I'm so glad to see 17 Base Campers gathered already here on a lakeshore in Minnesota.
We can even find room for a few more, if we chop down some of the undergrowth. Thank you for the cool beer, TLD, I did find some moosey ones deep down the barrel beneath the Buds. Now, all those bottles remind me of something I wanted to get a grip on for a long time: When I see Americans drink bottled beer, they drink from the bottle, women also. Well, they are not even given/offered a glass .... how come? cswchan, I didn't know the mosquitoes were this big! And that they growl .... Sgt. Joe, your local brew looks very appetizing, albeit the bottles are, well, different. They look like juice bottles. Let me try the Honey Almond, please, one that Viper97 made a batch of recently - presumably in Outer Space. No, glass, thank you. I'll drink it the American way. Overnight there were sounds in the thick forest scary sounds but it turned out to be RAMMIE arriving from Illinois and rigging his one-man-army with power from two generators .... PecosRiverM came quietly from Texas and sat down on the bear rug with his coffee, hot, black and strong and he never took off his hat Brinktastee, those pictures are out of this world. You may not easily figure out the mind of a 23 year-old, but Bearcat's mind is twisted the romantic way. Do you have some coordinates for Rosie and me, Bearcat? Sleep Walk |

I enjoy a drive in the fall to see the different colors on the trees. Looks to be early this year. Just hope it's not a bitter cold winter. Prefer 20 feet of snow rather than 20 below zero. 45_25_0_N_94_2_57_W_

Bearcat, I never really understood coordinates ....
Miss Garmin, MapSource and I have agreed to use a system called WSG 84 out of a seemingly infinite number of possible choices. This system is expressed by N, S, E, W followed by two digits, a dot and six digits. So your coordinates would be N45.25000 W94.25700 just to fill in the numbers you gave. Do you understand coordinate systems? |
