Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Bearcat, I never really understood coordinates ....
Miss Garmin, MapSource and I have agreed to use a system called WSG 84
out of a seemingly infinite number of possible choices.
This system is expressed by N, S, E, W followed by two digits, a dot and six digits.
So your coordinates would be N45.25000 W94.25700 just to fill in the numbers you gave.
Do you understand coordinate systems?

Was hoping no one would spoil my coordinates mystery for you but now you know. Not far from the river. Another hint (no spoilers please), "close to water but not a river".

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Troy joined us from Pennsylvania. Welcome!

Coordinates
In the first place, I messed up the coordinate system myself.
I said it needed six digits after the dot. Wrong. Five digits.

Lil' Brother will pass the place going North from Burnsville.
PecosRiverM finds the place in the Mississippi River near Clearwater.
If I enter the digits from Bearcat's numbers into my WSG 84 system,
I'll land some 20 miles SW of Clearwater. So, am I confused?

sad Bearcat, I'll ever never find that bear rug this way crying

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I find Maria Lake and Bunt Lake some 7-8 kilometers
- you have been to Germany; they do metric -
SW from Clearwater city center.
I also find several lakes north of the Mississippi River, but I'll put my money
on one of the two I mentioned, Bearcat.
Don't ask why, please.
