Yuck is right! Are you supposed to get some relief tomorrow? We're forecast for one more 100-degree tomorrow, then high in the 80's on Sunday. I can't wait.

Our puppy is hyper and misbehaving. Not fault -- he can't race around outside and burn off his energy, so it goes into mischief indoors. Good thing he's cute...

Yes, relief tomorrow. Forecast 84 F.

When I grew up on the farm, 100 years ago whistling , we took a kiddie pool and file it to the top and the dogs would just lay in it. Then my dad got the idea of digging a kiddie pool size hole in part of the drive-way and then all summer we kept it full of water. That seemed to keep the dogs happy all summer. The pets stayed outside 365/24/7.
Funny thing, I was shocked when I got older to find that people let animals in the house. nerd

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Funny, a week or two ago I looked at Walmart for a solid plastic kiddie pool for the dogs. All I could find was inflatable ones, which I think their toenails would puncture. I'm not sure the puppy would go for a pool -- he hates to even step on wet grass (after the only 2 rains we've had since adopting him 7 weeks ago...)

If you are looking for a solid pool for the dog, get one of those plastic mixing boxes for concrete. They are tough and shallow enough so the dog can get in and out easily. Should be able to find one at Menards, Home Depot, Lowes, or you neighborhood hardware store.

I agree. as long as they have some shelter from the wind, rain and snow. My cats and dog are outside animals who sleep either in the granary or an old barn in a bed of straw.

Cheers

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Cold front came through. What a difference. My temp gauge in my jeep showed 69 degrees while at the mall a few hours ago. Would not mind if we stayed around 75 for awhile. Was at 97 while cutting grass around noon today.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Mi Darnier has now stay up for one week...
I would say that it will stay up at least month by itself... It has battery so can take any brown outs and stand for some severe black out too....

Some jolly good item to be laptop smile

Ou darn.... Now I remember, I forget to change enter to hibernation -mode when running on battery....
So yes, it cannot stand black out longer than 15 min.....
Ou crappy...

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

It is putting up some nice numbers smile

Read about the Kerimaki Church from the other thread. Beautiful building. I saw their website and read about the construction. Very interesting. The Finnish section has more information than the English section (thank you Google translate), but it is nice they give the information in 4 additional languages.

Cheers
