I am still on Clearwire(Clear). But I am not exactly what you might call a satisfied customer. It won't take much more to push me over the edge to try someone else. Maybe Citiescape or DSL.

Some winter here...
----------------------------------------There was -33'C (-27'F) on north yesterday and it usually flows down if there is that much.. It sure did, -12'C (10'F) even here on south. I'm so glad that this planet did come to it senses and understand what it Scandinavia is öbaut. Sipping some coffee and waiting caffeine to kick in, then some outdoor fun on subarctic blue. Have to take every piece out of this, forecast promise that this will last only until Tuesday. ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaPoBhiMkgs ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by ultimaThule at Jan 8, 2012 11:55:23 AM] |

Well, I'm off Clear.com and back to Comcast. 13 months was all I could take. It got slower and slower. I only had a 40 dollar termination fee. There tech support is in India and the customer service is in Mexico. <sigh> I've been with Clear for almost a year now and have only had one outage, it was on their end not mine. I could tell the CS was "somewhere else" but I found it good. The rep reset my account so when their system did come back up I was all set to go, otherwise I would have had to call again. I've never had Comcast but many years ago I had cable. MediaOne was wonderful but AT&T bought them and ran it into the ground, it was horrible. I switched to DSL and it was nice but then came the laptops am now happy with the wireless. I don't do any large downloads and not much streaming so speed changes are seldom noticed. ![]() |

As they say, the grass is always greener on the other side of the hill. If I was on another carrier, I would probably find fault with them too. Perhaps I should just stop my whining and be happy I HAVE service. It is good to know they have some satisfied customers. Thanks for the input. ![]()

Sounds like winter might finally be arriving there. The next few days here will all be above 40F (5C) here. Ice fishing has become hazardous, with several reports of people and fish houses going through the ice which has become rotten. Cheers

We are making ice tonight. 10F(-12C) at the moment. Probably not above freezing now for the next several days.

Winters from your childhood never repeat themselves - neither do the summers.
Noticed you had some issues with ISPs and outsourcing. Happened upon this one while looking for something else and thought of you: ![]() |
