Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Broke 10 million points. applause Just thinking back when I started with a dual core system. Didn't think I would see this high of points. Just wish any of the projects we crunch would actually produce a cure with credits going to WCG and the scientists. Hopefully one day we will see that.

Congrats on 10 million. You have some nice systems crunching. Keep up the good work.

Currently working on some upgrades from some parts I obtained from Warpedcow. Had one board working, but now the video died on it. Currently trying some old low end video cards working on it. I will keep at for a while tonight, but may need to get a fresh perspective on it later.

Cheers

Appreciate the offer. Will keep it in mind. Need to finish current projects and get ready for winter before attempting anything new.

I did get a cheap P4 3.4 ghzwith 2gb memory for $15. Onboard video was shot, but I had an old video card which I stuck in to remedy that. Just fired it up and it seems to be functioning OK. It was a quick and easy fix. This will replace one of my 1.5gz P4's which suddenly would only run at 10%. Any higher and it would blue screen. Ah, more spare parts.

Cheers

I just sold my Power Mac G5 for $400.00! The funny thing about this is I paid $316.00 for this Mac 2 years ago! laughing I love a good investment. cool
I got an old G4 that I'm going to put out on Craigslist. Maybe get 50 buck or so for it.

Gotta love a good deal. I am currently loading Linux Mint on another machine. So far so good. It is doing its update thing. So far it recognized everything right away.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Been thinking of loading linux on the one I built. Currently running win7 beta but that will expire in a little while. Any suggestions on which linux plays well with WCG?

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Sorry about the Twins. Fast out of the gate but no legs. Too many mistakes. wink Damn Yankees. biggrin

cowboy

Yeah. They have lost 10 straight to the Yankees. But the playoff game with Detroit was one of the most exciting games they ever played. Everyone who was at that game got their money's worth.

Snow again today, but only about another inch (2.5cm).
Cheers

Well, California had two chances and it appears neither will make it. Another right-coast world series ... **yawn***. laughing

Snow? It was 74F here yesterday. cool

Cheers all.
