As a new member, I am delighted to lend my support to Graham in his new role as team captain.
Thanks Graham for taking this on and, of course, thanks to Dave A for all his hard work in getting us to where we are now. I wish him all the best for the future. For me, MOT still punches well above its weight and I for one am keen to do my best to see this continue. Besides, I want one of Grahams certificates!  |

I wish you and MOT best of luck ,and keep up the great wrok. But to Quote Dave A's post "It is with deep regret that I resign as team captain of My Online Team I write this shaking with rage as I have most of this evening on account of abuse hurled at me from all directions by my own team mates." Looks to me like some of his own team members drove him to it. I don't hide and use this ID in a number of forums. I've never had a problem with MOT for any reason until the today. I still have no problem with all of the MOT team members. But if your going ot quote something from another team forum, please quote it in context. Afain I wsi you nothing but the best and the MOT has made a great contribution to the WCG. Regards, Rick |

Hey,
Sorry to hear you leave, David. From the moment I joined the team, I felt welcomed and wanted (even if it wasn't many points). I wasn't here when the news article was published, but that definately would have been a great experience to me, being the captain of a team which will encourage thousands more to join WCG.  Hi Guys Thank you for giving me your support GuysHowever, I would like to state that I have not assumed the position of Team Captain I am merely holding the reins until a new Team Captain is decided upon There are 243 members currently on MyOnLineTeam and there may be someone more suitable and better qualified than me to take the helm I propose that we have a poll in our Team Forum if everyone is in agreement This will enable us to reach a democratic decision on choosing a willing participant I think it only fair that we set a level of at least 6 months crunching with MyOnlineTeam to assume the responsibility of managing the Team I will advise everyone in our Team Thread when the Poll has been set up, if we are in agreement Thanks for crunching with MyOnlineTeam |

 How do I follow the threads of my posts or the answers to them? Sorry you have not gotten any attention, Dave's message has gotten everyone pretty worked up. There a couple of tools you can use. If you go to "My Forum Profile" at the top of the page you will see an option to find all your posts. Another option is to use the search box. Niether is very good beacuse they won't give you a history or a thread relative to the post. Since this thread is well read most posts get replies pretty quickly so your best bet is to just check in after you post to see what people have to say. I would like to state that I have not assumed the position of Team Captain I am merely holding the reins until a new Team Captain is decided upon I would add that Graham and I discussed this by phone as we were both worried when we saw that the Team Captain position was "Available" when David quit. At that point, anyone with a member id on the World Community Grid could have come in and made themselves team captain. We both decided that one of us should occupy the slot to protect the team and I elected Graham. At the time, we were hoping that David Autumns would get over his anger and come back, but that was not to be as we have all seen. |

Mot is in enough turmoil today with out anybody else's help to make matter worse. If you don't have all of the facts you can't make a just decision. At this point I think all MOT members would agree that this is a MOT problem that should be handled by MOT members. NO DISRESPECT INTENDED to you or anyone else. Please let the members of MOT handle the situation. It is our team, our crisis. PLEASE let us handle it. |
