The website is spotty his morning with some periodic ""Error 503 Service Unavailable" messages. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Not only that. It also seems to be a total drought, when it comes to work. I can't even get a single MCM task, and even my slow Laptop will soon run out of work. |

Correct, Grumpy Swede,
Since 12:28 UTC there hasn't been any new work distributed. This was the last workunit: workunit 498020039 MCM1_0215044_2682_0 MSWin 10 In Progress 2024-04-05T12:28:03 2024-04-11T12:28:03 0.00/0.00 UPDATE: MCM1-work just started flowing again, I've received 13 tasks in the past 7 minutes. While I received 317 MCM1-resends on 2024-04-01 between 08:35 and 09:16 UTC, I have received only this one MCM1-resend in the past two days: workunit 496866347 MCM1_0214952_6572_0 Linux Ubuntu Pending Verification 2024-04-03T03:45:00 2024-04-03T20:31:33 2.88/2.96 Other news by Project: project HSTB has now changed to Intermittent. No new news is that the website is still flaky. (Anyway, at least it is up and running.) Adri |

Resumption of the distribution took place at 15:41 UTC:
----------------------------------------workunit 498020040 MCM1_0215040_5979_0 MSWin 8.1 In Progress 2024-04-05T15:41:48 2024-04-11T15:41:48 0.00/0.00 In a diagram, showing at what rate 5,000 workunits are being distributed in steps of 1,000, you'll notice a gap between IDs 498020354 and 498019354: 498022354 │ * 15:45 (MCM1) Adri [Edit 2 times, last edit by adriverhoef at Apr 5, 2024 4:53:33 PM] |

I'm still getting website errors now and then. It looks like they increased the MCM flow. yesterday saw 800k+ returned.

I'm still getting website errors now and then. It looks like they increased the MCM flow. yesterday saw 800k+ returned. Given an implied capacity of about 1,800,000 this represents about 45% of what would be the amount to satisfy the demand of the crunching community at WCG. Cheers

I think that when we hit 1.4 million in the returns, that everyone is crunching happily. That is also if no other projects are sending out WUs and it is just MCM.
the 800k being returned now is still not enough, but I'm hopeful that it is more than we had yesterday, and I'm getting a steady supply right now. |

As per the last few days, Windows has almost a full queue and Linux has nothing. Cheers

As per the last few days, Windows has almost a full queue and Linux has nothing. Could there be a new Linux cluster incident perhaps, that is sucking up all tasks for other Linux crunchers? I don't think we ever got an explanation for what really happened back then, and what WCG did about it.Cheers [Edit 1 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Apr 6, 2024 8:50:48 PM] |
