Regarding ARP1 -- whilst I agree wholeheartedly that it would be nice to get some of the laggard work out of the way, I wonder if there is actually any method for just getting a small number of specific tasks prepared for issue then sent to the feeder, given the [apparent] convoluted mechanism Kevin and co. came up with regarding work-unit release in the three unit categories. I don't think the workflow is anywhere near as simple as it might be for (say) SCC1 or MCM1.
I can think of all sorts of difficulties there might be, but if we want to discuss this I guess the ARP forum is actually the right place :-) Cheers - Al. |

No work here. About to start my backup project.
Is there a page showing WU availability and server status? |

WCG does not have a server status page, so I try to community source it. Check the first post in this thread for the "best" I've got so far.

Got two WUs just now. Unfortunately they have to wait over a day for my backup project (SCIdock@home) to get out of the way.

I sometimes wonder if IBM treated the former WCG staff poorly (e.g. with the decision to end support for WCG), and that that's the reason we haven't seen them post in the forums since then. Did IBM lay them off, or did they move onto other roles within IBM with no bad blood?

I've got nothing. I don't understand why WCG doesn't send out MCM. It is the one project they control.
