Good Monday Morning to TigerLily (in 12 hours),
I'm sure you have seen all the posts and have sent some info to the tech team. I really hope it is an easy fix. |

The first post has a link to the outage update if you missed it. I'm really happy with the discussion of the problem and that they have an option to bring up a secondary server. Sounds like they have been working on giving themselves options.

I'm downloading a fresh (not resend) MCM WU right now. It is also downloading a bunch of extra files, but this might be due to them bringing up a new server ??

How's everyone doing? Are caches filling up? It looks like there is a good flow of MCM and OPNG, but of course that isn't enough for all of us to have a steady flow.
----------------------------------------There is a device profile issue that is being worked on. You can't alter your current profile of what projects you ask for. There is also the worry of our ever growing results list, but it doesn't seem to be impacting anything at the moment, but still I worry. Kudos to the tech team for bringing everything back online on Monday morning, I hope your week and the holidays are quieter. REMINDER: Possible outage on Dec 6 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Unixchick at Dec 5, 2023 4:42:14 PM] |

My main machine ran out early this morning, and currently is once again struggling to get any tasks - currently running 2 WU's on 88 cores :-(
----------------------------------------A 40 core machine has 40 WU's running and 930 WU's waiting, a 48 core machine has 48 WU's running and 650 waiting. It's frustrating to see that the most capable machine get the least work. In the last 3 hours, I reported 88 WU's and got back 30 or so, which have now almost gone. Update: just received 27 tasks. Machine is now running at a bit less than 50% again. Wow. All linux, BTW. [Edit 1 times, last edit by thunder7 at Dec 5, 2023 6:17:17 PM] |

My caches for both Windows and Linux are close to full, but not quite there. Plenty to keep going though.

Looks like, from the little data we have to take a peek inside the system, that MCM is flowing, but not at full speed for the project.
OPNG is also sending out WUs. I'm asking Santa for some ARP WUs. |

THAT would be fantastic!
Especially if the tech team were able to resolve most, if not all, the issues we have had lately! Hopefully, we will not have to wait that long. 😎 |
