Re: Hardware Recovery Update

WCG appears to be dead in the water. After what should have been a simple lift and shift, instead going offline for months. A very shaky restart and now this.

Will there be crunchers when you are back in service nearly a month after a raid array failure. Don't you have more than one server? With multiple backups?

Any business running on the same model as Krembil wouldn't be a business if this was the level of service they provided to their dedicated Customers

What future does the current project team think that the World Community Grid has at this time, given the alarming increase in the electricity price in the intervening period?

Re: Hardware Recovery Update

I'm not going anywhere either. I have some backup projects during wintertime, but my cycles go first to WCG. I want to see the completion of ARP and I haven't even earned my first badge in SCC and I'm getting close to my 1 year badge in MCM. There is still alot I want to help with here. I have a few friends who are excited to join too, once it is stable.

Re: Hardware Recovery Update

These delays are terrible for scientific advancement, but the delay in reporting work units adds so much insult to the injury.

I've reached the bargaining phase of grief.
If WCG could just get the servers to accept the work we've already done, that would be enough.

Re: Hardware Recovery Update

I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay until either I die, or WCG dies, whichever comes first.
Be careful what you wish for... devilish
