Re: COVID Vaccinations

I had my first Moderna dose at the end of May. Second dose currently scheduled for september - hopeful that I can move the appointment up when Ontario allows me to do so.

I had some swelling around the injection site, and it was sore - it faded after a few days. Arm also overall felt a bit "weaker" I guess?

Nearing 2 weeks post-dose and I'm feeling fine - just waiting for my turn for dose 2.

Yeah I think I read that they are opening second doses early in Ontario.
At least in some hotspots, pretty sure by July you will be able to get one.

fortunately for my community, I'm not in a hotspot zone. In the interim, just happy to have been able to get the second dose before the floodgates opened for 12+ -- appointments in my area dried up rather quickly.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

The french Government just announced last evening that people could shorten the delay at 3 weeks between two shots of Pfizer or Moderna
instead of the 6 weeks ordered before.
Reasons: avoid the english critical situation
+holiday season coming and people wont take the second dose required to be done at home
+ some indian variant clusters emerging in France.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

France have given 30 million first doses.
UK have given 30 million second doses.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

I had Moderna. The reaction to the second shot really wiped me out.
But I'm glad I took it. And I'm glad I didn't get sick or get anybody else sick.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

I just had my second vaccine yesterday. The first one was in April, and it was AstraZeneca. The second one was Pfizer. We are allowed to mix and match to some degree now.

The first dose of AZ wiped me out. Massive headache, chills, muscle aches, and I could barely stay awake the day after. I was mostly in good shape two days after, but there were occasional chills and a lingering mild headache. My wife was in bad shape for three days, though.

With the Pfizer, my wife has so far had no negative reactions at all, except for a small pain in her arm at the site of the injection. I have a headache and some muscle aches and a bit of arm pain. Not a big deal, though. I am able to work.

Re: COVID Vaccinations

Second dose of AZ over, and as easy as the first. It's odd how some people get bad side effects from first and nothing from second and other people are the opposite way round and have an easy first and bad reaction to the second.

I'm just glad both of mine had no real side effects. They're already talking about booster jabs in the Autumn. I feel a bit guilty we are even talking about that whilst some countries haven't even got enough first doses yet.
