Greetings,
Yes, the slow down in number of results was expected. I'm waiting until the 7 day deadline is getting hit to turn things back to 24 hour deadlines. In hind sight, I probably should have done a 3 or 4 day deadline test instead of 7. The randomization of when work is loaded is randomized, that was a simple configuration change and was implemented after the suggestion by lavaflow. retsof, the 5000 max available is all that is running. So, yes, more work units are in queues on machines waiting to run. Thanks, -Uplinger |

People who are into FAH2 use computers good enough to complete tasks in 24h deadline, and they are pretty much 24/7 online, so that is not big issues concidering that one FAH2 task needs about 4-4,5h to complete on modern CPUs. Even less on newer generations. Bullcarp! Simple as that...Those who are into FAH2 just casual, they are welcome too, but they shouldn't complain about 24h deadline. |

Only Bullcarp is your language here! Maybe u should go on some redneck forum and talk to people like that! Can u explain what is actually bullcarp here? Am I wrong or u have find yourself called? I am not only one who said that majority of crunchers dedicated to FAH2 project should wait for work because someone is downloaded work and can't even finish it in 24h deadline! Everyone is welcome of course, as I said before and what is your problem man?

Perhaps the risk associated with this experiment was minimized because of the small amount of work that is running.

I wonder how many people had their machines set for 10 days of work with an additional 10 and working on this project?
----------------------------------------Will be glad to see the 24 hour deadline again.

If you did that you'd possibly get the 'No work sent, won't finish in time' reply.
Anyway Statistics Date Total Run Time Eventually all that distributed work will start to come back EXCEPT if there are only 5000 from which to generate offspring, no offspring, no catch up. All for progressing research (someone somewhere ). |

Interesting, I only get get these in batches of 6. I got a batch yesterday, worked them and got another today. In the settings you can ask for a maximum. Currently it depends on how many threads the computer has. The 1 day deadline jobs will take over. With the 7 day, I get them in batches. For one with 12 threads I am asking for 11. Earlier today it sent me 8 all at once. I did those, and a few hours later it sent me 9 more all at once. With the 1 day jobs, I don't want more than about 1/3 of the threads running on each machine so they will have a chance to work on something else also. BOINC has 4 different settings, default, home, school and work. I use one for this 4 thread laptop, one for a 6 thread desktop, one for 8 thread laptops and one for a 12 thread laptop. It is working out well. Currently they are set for number of threads minus 1. I will adjust it when the 1 day work returns. Only one computer is getting them. The others have nothing but the other stuff.P.S.: One of the 8 thread computers asks for 7, and I just got 7. A 6 thread computer asked for 5, and I got 5 HSTB instead. Yes, I did ask for 8 of those as well. To keep the computers busy I ask for # of threads MIP and # of threads MCM.
