I have contributed to HSTB since it's inception and have gotten a total of 848 WUs. These units have never been easy to come by. I don't believe that I have received any this year but admittedly I have been prioritizing OPN1.

I got this machine Oct 26 2020, and since then I have received NO HSTB work units even though I am signed up to get their work units. I get lots of OPN1 and MIP1 work units.

With about 60 available threads, I've only achieved 2 years contribution some weeks ago.
----------------------------------------Important is to report regularly and frequently in order to be able to fetch some HSTB WUs when they are available. Since 2 years, I operate two Ryzen 7 2700 based machines, and, because of the 16 threads, they get more HSTB WUs than 4 or 6 threads machines, in particular because ARP1 takes a lot of time per WU, and decreases accordingly the reporting frequency. S'funny how we're all angling for these elusive work units, and yet some people that are lucky enough to get one do not seem interested. I managed to get one a couple of weeks ago, returned it on 27 May, and it's now on its third wingman, the other two having Not Replied. I'm sure number 3 will get the job done soon.

I got 7 (!!!) HSTB work units yesterday! On a 4 core machine. It has returned 3 so far. None are validated yet.
----------------------------------------I don't think I've ever seen more than 2 of these WUs on a machine at a time. This is like winning the lottery! This is like winning the lottery! Edit: I just saw in another thread that I said that I had 3 WUs at one time (I think in October). So my memory was faulty. :) I'm literally crunching three (3) HSTB units at once! A first for me I think. Glad to see others are getting units too.

On 7/27 (11:03 AM EDT) I received a group of 4 HSTB WU .
----------------------------------------Now, it seems that MIP WU are getting scarce too.. Elsewhere, a lot of ice melting in Greenland Coolish weather On the Coast in Baja, Mexico, Hot weather in Oregon. [soapbox] I live in Florida - high Covid infection rates - but no masks required in stores. Difficult to think about those that refuse to get vaccinated - or wear masks for the protection of others. [/soapbox] I hope that the World Community Grid projects can come up with more amazing results.  |

I don’t really mind not getting any WUs as long as I get other things to crunch. After all WCG is for a good cause – though I must say that the eternal “You are about 12 days away from earning your Bronze badge for Help Stop TB!” in the weekly mail digests of the last years are a tad frustrating. “Pilutta dej”, as a Swedish saying goes.
