Since months, I receive in the weekly email digest following message:
----------------------------------------You are about 50 days away from earning your Sapphire badge for Help Stop TB! I would be happy to achieve the missing 50 days ! ... However, with 6 multicore machines (i.e. 60 available threads) working 24/7, I receive around 2 - sometime 3 or even none - HSTB WUs per week ! Last week only 2 WUs and the previous week nothing. Such advice is very ironical, close to sarcasm Cheers, Yves ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by KerSamson at Jan 26, 2021 2:15:10 PM] |

Since months, I receive in the weekly email digest following message: Yeah, same here, though for me even more sarcasticYou are about 50 days away from earning your Sapphire badge for Help Stop TB! Last week only 2 WUs and the previous week nothing. Such advice is very ironical, close to sarcasm Cheers, Yves You are about 342 days away from earning your Diamond (5 year) badge for Help Stop TB! But I haven't had a single HST WU IN MONTHS!, across about 30 different active hosts... That makes receiving such emails a rather bad joke... Ralf |

But I haven't had a single HST WU IN MONTHS!, across about 30 different active hosts... ![]() Since I've received 8 HST1 tasks on only ONE host within 24 hours (they're all In Progress right now), it sounds as if you're doing something wrong, Ralf. HST1_307043_000090_MT0020_T400_F00085_S00045_1 In Progress 2/4/21 21:25:08 2/14/21 21:25:08 0.00/0.00 0.0/0.0[Copied from Results Status, generated by wcgformat (using these options: -ff -H)] |

I found that I started to get more HST1 work units when I tweaked all my device profiles to control maximum numbers of units for each project and set my host buffer sizes to be able to accommodate those maxima. This means that there is always room for work units for the longer-running projects if work is available when one of my systems puts in a request; before that I'd just tend to get flooded out with work for the much more common [and shorter] projects!
I still find getting HST1 work to be a bit patchy - I have four machines that might ask for HST1, and between them I'm getting between 10 and 20 a week as part of a [very] mixed work load. Before I did the tuning I was lucky to get 5 in a month! Happy task hunting, one and all -- Al. |
