We will be starting the increase slowly before we get to full speed, but as of now, the rate will be 2000 workunits (4000 results) per day Keith, that's excellent information, thanks for the update and the good news !!!CJSL Crunching away on the thin ice of a new day... |

So the real story is that there was no bottleneck but plain no data transfer at all to Delft TU.

Will there be any work for Android platform? I have 4 Android phones that can run 24/7 but now just 1 is running 1 out of 4 cores of its CPU for SETI@home, searching for aliens

Just to put it into perspective, we are crunching 2000 arp units per day, but 800.000 mcm and 600,000 mip.
That is 2000 days compared with a total of 200,000 days each day. It would take a substantial increase to get anywhere near those level. But we don't need anywhere near that throughput because there are only 13,000,000 to go. Mike |

Smash Childhood Cancer has Android work, but the project is on a break. They are experimenting with running Mapping Cancer Markers on Android, but I don't know if/when that will be in production.

They have more than enough demand for standard units, so highly unlikely to spend time producing an Android version.

Good Morning! I have some good news to report. We have started the initial transfers of data to the researchers from our end. The speeds are looking promising. As a result, we are increasing the speed of ARP1 today. We will be starting the increase slowly before we get to full speed, but as of now, the rate will be 2000 workunits (4000 results) per day. Thanks, -Uplinger Don't know what the lead time is on this, but 48 hours later the speedometer's needle has not moved a single degree. |

Was just gonna say that:

Since these units have a 7 day deadline, I would suspect it will take up to the 6th or 7th day to see any increase, if indeed there is one. There just could be some sitting in queues that are waiting to be processed. On the slower machines which are not on 24/7 it may take 3 to 5 days of stops and starts to actually finish a unit. We are averaging right about 24 hours of cpu time for a finished unit at this time. I would be wondering just how many of the units are out in the wild at the present time. I have not noticed any greater availability of units now versus the past, but maybe some who were getting none are now getting some. If after 7 days we see no increase in completed units, then I would question if any more are in the mix. Cheers
Sgt. Joe
