I am starting workunits for 10k steps. These new workunits are from batch FAH2_002222_zinc00656237. Again, I am sorry about the original workunits that were bad. I have checked the inp files for this batch and they all show 10k nsteps.

From batch 2222 the memory usage I see:

Windows:
Virtual memory size 469.51 MB
Working set size 295.62 MB

Linux:
Virtual memory size 1.89 GB
Working set size 513.53 MB

Edit: My impression is that the Linux version will run much longer: Linux 6.7% 1hr23m <-> Windows 9.8% 1hr10m on the same hardware.

Edit2: 6 beta's on the same hardware have finished. 2 Linux OS and 4 Windows OS.
The runtime for a task on Linux was 19¼ hours and on Windows 10¾ hours.

How is this big difference to explain? Compilation / Libraries?

I just pushed the other 7 batches to the queue. Also, these will be testing the children process as well, so they will come in bursts when I manually kick off that process.

My Windows XP machine creates this error on all units. Windows 7 looks to be O.K though.

Managed to snag 4 on a 14c/28t linux host. Nothing on the other 2 windoze machines.

Got 3 of them on a dual Xeon E5645 system (12c/24t) running Linux Mint.
Took around 14h to complete. All OK.
