Hi Ralf,
----------------------------------------you have to verify your host profiles. It is not normal that you receive WUs from non-selected projects even if you do not opt for "If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project." Are you sure that your hosts use the device profile they are supposed to use? To be sure, you should overwrite the local device configuration by reloading the device profile from WCG. Cheers, Yves |

Hi Ralf, Well, of course I have selected the option to get work from other projects when none if available for the selected projects. you have to verify your host profiles. Cheers, Yves As I mentioned many times before, I have neither time nor interest in micro-manage settings. And that has worked just fine with all the standard settings, specially when there were issues with one or the other project in the past (just consider how many hosts would sit idle if you would select HST only!). It's just since the switch from the fairly short running to the extremely long running WUs in OET, that this has become such a problem... What would help in such a situation would be if there was an option in the profile settings not only to explicitly select but also to explicitly EXCLUDE a certain project from the list of WUs being provided... I believe this has been requested before and is possibly on the list of things to get done when there is time. Cheers

But here is a computer I just put back into service and what happens - every WU so far is blessed with a 39.4. Talk about bad luck. I will need to take it back offline if the numbers on it don't pick up. ![]() |

So, does anyone have any experience with WUs that are estimated at 32 hours? Are these automatically going to give me 39.4 credits?
I just have seven WUs for now that are estimated over 24 hours, but we know the estimates sometimes run low... |

So, does anyone have any experience with WUs that are estimated at 32 hours? Are these automatically going to give me 39.4 credits? Some might, some don't. It doesn't seem to be AS BAD as it was the other week, but I still see some WUs occasionally that get that default "credit"...I just have seven WUs for now that are estimated over 24 hours, but we know the estimates sometimes run low... Yes, I have a lot of them that definitely run +24h, with mixed results:OET1_ 0000642_ xSDGP-OM_ rig_ 62297_ 0-- DESKTOP-VM717KK Valid 4/14/18 07:14:08 4/20/18 15:34:57 48.73 / 48.73 39.4 / 184.6 Ralf |

I was thinking of aborting these double length WUs in favor of getting the lower estimated ones, but they are all I am getting now. I predict this is going to turn out bad...
To your point, it doesn't feel as bad now as the other week. But that was before these big WUs showed up for me. Here at the final days it is just making me more nervous about reaching my 20 year goal. |

How many days do you average per calendar day? ![]() |

After a couple of week with OM WU's, the credit discrepancy between OM and "classical" WUs seems to be now at about 10%, including some crazy credits (too low or too high).

I keep getting OET tasks that grossly underestimate the time to completion, but which are assigned an abnormally short deadline because they are bouncing from host to host, uncompleted by the deadline. Like FAH2, it's another case of more haste, less speed. Give hosts adequate time to complete them, and they will complete faster than if they just keep bouncing from host to host. If OET doesn't start playing nicely very soon, I'll be dropping it, just like I dropped FAH2. Losing reliable hosts is not a way to get the job done on time.
