I have had several of the OET units run about 8 hours on a I7 2600K. Now I have several which are at 30% at 9 hours. These must be some really big ones. We will see how long they take in the morning. Cheers The longest of the units took a little longer than 11 hours to finish, there is probably a lack of accuracy in the calculation for the progress. Cheers

I7-2600 got some here.
----------------------------------------37% at 5 hours for one of them. Gonna be a while. Will have to check the others as I have a poor old core 2 quad and core 2 duo running these, too.
Crunching for the betterment of human kind and the canines who will always be our best friends.

Update to my prior post:
----------------------------------------So far I have ten pages of pending/valid results for these new work units (~150 WU). Sorting them by CPU time elapsed you can quickly rule out the old workunits and check the median CPU time of the remaining (OM) set. The two machines that are running these are both AMD chips, 1700x and 1950x. They're both running linux. Median time is 5.09 hours. i've got one at 17h15m at 99%, one at 19h15m at 92%, 14h10m at 83%, 19h43m at 98%. no more than 2 of those (if any) have been paused, and if so only once (reduced down to 75% of processors and then back to 100%)

With the "OM" types a massive credit dump comes down its way:

I also noticed the massive reduction of credit/h (from about 50 to 30 points per h on a Ryzen 1700). Before that happened, I had a queue of app. 2 days old OET units, when the new units began to flow in. While running these, credit got up continously to about 100 points/h at the end.
But as I understand the credit system, this is expected when average times for a project go up and should be back to normal after some time. Let's see if this happens. |

My credit has dropped to 1/2 since OM.
----------------------------------------Not sure if the credit system will adjust this later, I'd say that this is rather a problem of Estimated computation size, which is not set properly for OM. |

I wasn't paying attention and just noticed the points are all over the place. One machine I have got 549 points for 7.5hrs and then got 39 points for the next one that took 8hrs.
Another machine just requested 39.4 from over 11 hours of crunching. OET1_ 0000628_ xMBGP-OM_ rig_ 21802_ 2-- S4BN998 Pending Validation 3/27/18 22:14:06 3/29/18 14:20:06 11.16 / 11.19 39.4 / 0.0 Hopefully the wingman requests more points or I get about 3.5 points per hour. Even so I imagine I'll get rubbish points for the time put in. I guess at least it is helping push my time tally towards the 1yr mark. |

Basically the points system is broken, at least for this project at this time. It might stabilize after the longer units run a while, but don't hold your breath. My points are like Steve W's - all over the map. Cheers
