Is there any statement from the HSTB researchers about how much more work there is for WCG to process? At one time the research page quoted an end date of March 2019 and now it shows 100% complete. However I have never seen a statement from the HSTB researchers. The project has more work to do, and the researchers have no plans to end it any time in the near future. The progress bars on the research pages are based on how much work is in the WCG queue at any given time. For this particular project, the researchers often need to analyze the batches we send back to them before they can build more work units--which is what they're currently doing. |

Thanks so much Caitlin !
I expect that HSTB continue for many time more due the importancy of this Project for me. Unfortunatelly, is very hard to get tasks ! I have many machines focused on, and until now I just captured few tasks compared with others Projects available. ![]() |

The progress bars on the research pages are based on how much work is in the WCG queue at any given time. Caiti, This is a really clear explanation of what we see. Why is it not explained actually on the Research page itself?!? Similarly, it would be useful to explain that a second date, the expected (or actual) project end date, will appear as the project end approaches? It's extremely confusing to see the progress bars suddenly rise and fall in big jumps if you don't have this knowledge! It also no longer explains why SCC has been removed from the Active Research page ... |

It also no longer explains why SCC has been removed from the Active Research page ... The WCG team is actively discussing how to handle the Research Page progress bars for these exact reasons. SCC is currently intermittent because the researchers are deciding what to crunch next. The latest discussion is at https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,41354_offset,10 (However, there's no big news yet.) |

We had a quick call with the research team today. Not much to report--their search for new students continues and is taking much longer than usual (which is an issue across their university). They are continuing to build and send work units in the meantime.
