Lately I have had to repair many dead weblinks in my posts [url]s,
----------------------------------------far more than can be attributed to me doing it wrong I think, whereas the [img] links seem to work each time. When I check a post with a dead link by clicking "Edit" or "Quote" the word/name/whatever is surrounded by empty url tags with no address between them. I should have copied an example, but only now it occurred to me that it might be a website issue, but I shall copy and paste if when/if I meet one again. Furthermore I too often get an error page when logging into the Forums. I may type one character wrongly now and then, but I don't do it about 50% of the time as I think happens these days. I cannot see what could be the reason for these errors in my end, so if you have the possibility to look into it in yours, I should be pleased. EDIT: I just was "Log in in error" EDIT II: this may be a case of mouse fatigue The patient is undergoing observation and exams. Will update/delete if something materializes. There happens to be a Windows 10 issue reported in the feedback hub since 10/19/17 "multiple broken/missing... "this issue occurs due to a bug in our servicing stack..."

Thank you, ErikaT.
I'm monitoring what happens - or not happens, and shall report any further occurrences where your link leads. SekeRob**** that is an interesting piece of information that I shall look into. Today seems to have been peaceful, but then again: I haven't linked to anything. Thank you. Phew! Maybe I'm not seeing ghosts after all ... sigh of relief. |

æ-ø-å and '-"
are giving me so much trouble that I'm ready to give up adriverhof has given me a recipe for handling this, but even as I follow this regime, I get mistakes. Again and again. I know I compose complicated posts, but I should't have to correct so many times. Also, the mistakes can and certainly does occur in the quotes I have made of adriverhof's post. One would think that would be carved in stone. I had hoped the characters would be scrambled here (I forgot to save an example because I'm fairly Out of It!) I'll post this here in the original thread and in the "Access permession" as well. You can move or remove as you find fit. I'm getting out my Kleenex |

little mermaid,
After reading your additional posts, I don't think you are experiencing the same types of issues as the members in the other thread that I pointed you to earlier are. So, please continue to just post to this thread. The next time you have a post that does not display as you intend - please leave it as is and then, in a separate post, link to the post with the errors in it letting us know about it. If possible explain what the post should look like, or what the errors are. Thank you, ErikaT |

I don't think you are experiencing the same types of issues as the members in the other thread that I pointed you to earlier are. So, please continue to just post to this thread. That's what I thought , too, even as I have also been denied access to the thread in question in the "Access denied".The next time you have a post that does not display as you intend - please leave it as is and then, in a separate post, link to the post with the errors in it letting us know about it. If possible explain what the post should look like, or what the errors are. I think I tried to demonstrate what went wrong: The gehakte leber was almost 'leverpostej' - liver paste/paté as I have eaten all my life. Only the liver patétasted from more. I add thyme to the liver mix. So, I prepared liver paté which is eaten white bread ........ A cool Juleøl is the perfect companion. **************************************** which when corrected looks thusly: **************************************** The gehakte leber was almost 'leverpostej' - liver paste/paté as I have eaten all my life. Only the liver paté tasted from more. I add thyme to the liver mix. So, I prepared liver paté which is eaten white bread when warm, black bread when cold. ............. A cool Juleøl is the perfect companion. as can be seen in its entirety in my Base Camp thread. I shall post again when/if it any irregularities reoccur with a link to said miserable post, probably with a corrected one below it Thank you, ErikaT |

Upon clicking 'Preview' in a lengthy post, I'm making in the Base Camp thread in the Teams Forum,
----------------------------------------I just got this (Internet Explorer): 502 Bad Gateway The server returned an invalid or incomplete response. which I don't do now using Chrome. EDIT: Moved to Chrome to finish my post. Got the same error 502 Bad Gateway The server returned an invalid or incomplete response. after a couple of 'Review's. Rebooted. Internet Explorer claimed that I had no network connection, even as communication with BOINC to resume my tasks was readily taking place. An error seemed to have disturbed my network, and Windows 10 ran a 'fixing procedure'. Now I have both Internet Explorer and Chrome open. I'll see how it goes. Thank God for ctr+a/ctr+c [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 25, 2017 8:09:53 AM] |

As per your instructions, ErikaT, I didn't correct this example:
----------------------------------------".... or as my signature says: ⥠biaxaake-taatawe â¥" in this Base Camp post You will find it almost at the bottom of that very long post (fourth line from below) which I have now been able to post without any "Bad Gateway". EDIT: Correction of the lay-out asking this question: Is it possible to link to an individual post within a thread? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 25, 2017 10:09:23 AM] |

little mermaid,
This looks like an encoding problem. Can you tell me how in the post linked you inserted the heart character? In that post coming in for that character I see it as "%C3%A2%C2%99%C2%A5" which in UTF-8 is how it is showing. If I enter in hex 2665 I get ♥. U+00E2 â c3 a2 U+0099 c2 99 U+00A5 ¥ c2 a5 Thanks, armstrdj |
