Testing Dansk characters on Windows 10. à ø à æ Ã¥ Ã
⬠µ £ åà æÃøÃ⬠åà ÃøÃæµ Testing quote Is this what you wanted me to do? The pattern I have found is that the characters 'break' when I apply the Preview function. It may occur the first time I do it, but most times it does not happen until the maybe the third, fourth, or fifth time, and not even that on a perfect day. The special characters such as ñ é è ë `´ ^ have a tendency to be fragile. I just noticed we have a new active team: Team Kraland which posts partly in French with all the accents of this language iACn use - apparently without any problems. ******* Your post seem stable. I ran it through five Previews which in most cases would cause these characters to break apart. ******* æ-ø-Ã¥ I wrote æ-ø-å and ran the Preview once, and they broke apart along with those in your post above. I'sorry thank you for trying armstrdj æ-ø-å + one Preview. and these were the special characters before the earthquake. ñ é è ë `´ ^ Let's see what happens. I'll let whatever it does stay untouched now and press "Reply to the post". |

armstrdj, have you adjusted something?
I ask, because this post with plenty of foreign characters did not break even once as I pressed Review at least six times. |

No, I've problem some times, but not at every post. By preview, strange characters appear, i make correction before "reply". And sometine "preview" is ok, et when i post, the strange characters appear, i must edit my post to make corrections. problem with é è ê à ç ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by Saphir12 at Oct 31, 2017 9:03:57 AM] |

As I commented a few days ago, this has been a problem of the WCG/MVN forums for as long as I can remember.
----------------------------------------Trying Persé again. Yup, the problem seems to occur less in Vivaldi (Chrome/Chromium render engiìne). Nope, it did it just now changing the ì in engìne from my italian keyboard. [Edit 1 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Oct 31, 2017 9:20:01 AM] |

As I commented a few days ago, this has been a problem of the WCG/MVN forums for as long as I can remember. So should we forget about 'international' and 'global', be happy and get out our starting handles SekeRob****?- even Italian has a few accents as far as I recall EDIT: We could, of course, also sanitize our languages of all of those pesky non-anglo characters. Like when I'm asked my exact name and address by ESTA or an airline and give them my 'ø' and my 'æ' and my - hyphen! And they tell me to go home and do it right. Right? If you 'read' the whole post, instead of snip quoting, you see that the problem is for me no different, and NO I'm not saying anything about dropping, just that is IS an issue for as long as these forums exist, and the workaround being like Saphir12 explained. There's so many 'international' issues at WCG, you could fill a book with it.... numbers, dates, formatting all around.

Yes, I noticed your perché* I think it could be.
I'll do my best to love this antique and work around it as best as I can (ctrl+a ctrl+c) even as it demands a shift of my habits, is hard to remember, stresses me, makes me angry or make me cry when I forget, and it eats a lot of time. And I should consider myself lucky and be grateful that I'm not writing in Japanese or Russian ... ![]() *perchè - I got the accent opposite ^^^^ perché but you cannot tell unless you are SekeRob**** |

We are looking into the issue. I think we have all the information we need for now and will update when we know more.
Thanks, armstrdj |

Yes indeed, it would be very nice (ƒijn! - ƒ(U+0192)ij(U+0133)) if this issue were solved. It's us typing ctrl-A ctrl-C all the time and checking if the text in the window corresponds with the characters that you meant.
