Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Beside some tasks with zero times and credit (as found through the API):
           "AppName": "fahv",
"ClaimedCredit": 0.0,
"CpuTime": 0.0,
"ElapsedTime": 0.0,
"ExitStatus": 202,
"GrantedCredit": 0.0,

I have also noticed one other thing: the API is now reporting tasknames with many spaces in their names, like so:
           "Name": "FAHV_    1002214_    4xfx_    P4_    Rigid_    23248_    2--    ",

This is not good.

The "My Contribution" page looks normal. That's good work, people!

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Just a quick FYI. The status pages for completed work units are not showing any cpu or elapsed times, even if the work unit is marked valid.
Cheers

Sgt Joe, Thanks for the heads up. We actually were seeing the same issue on our end. We are working on a fix now. It will be a few hours before we are able to get this corrected. Your credits are still there, we have not run stats and when the fix is in place, you will see your credits back to normal.

Thanks,
-Uplinger

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Thanks for reporting this. It was in fact a bug in the website code (there are some changes) that caused several fields to get modified when you viewed a result. This bug has been fixed and the website code deployed. However, that only prevents it from happening again. We are re-restoring the BOINC database backup in order to get the data sorted out properly. As a result, you won't be able to view results again for another 2-3 hours. Thanks for reporting the issue.

Also - since this will be coming up in a few hours. We will not be running stats until the databases have been restored and we have tested a number of different things.

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

How did you try to set your cache, on WCG site or directly in the client?

WCG website. I only use the Default device profile,
but in Custom mode.

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

I will be interested to see what their online reliability is like.
This is a 24 hour a day operation.

We should have a good view of any issues.

I have not been paying much attention.
Did not even hear about this until my systems started running out of work.

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

One of my computers refuses to let me report or upload any WCG tasks currently on that computer until I switch the project to a new URL, using a method which would DELETE all files for those tasks. Could you modify where the old URL points so that it allows uploading and reporting all such tasks before switching to the new URL? My other computer can still connect properly, so I am using it to report this problem.

Do you really want to interrupt tasks in progress so that they cannot be uploaded or reported?

Re: World Community Grid Moves to IBM Cloud

Same here...
On Windows

World Community GridWCG_ENVIRONMENT_ADDED_WCG: Notice from BOINC
This project is using an old URL. When convenient, remove the project, then add http://WCG_MASTER_URL_WCG/
16/05/2017 2:28:29 PM

on Linux

16-May-2017 14:33:17 [World Community ridWCG_ENVIRONMENT_ADDED_WCG]
You used the wrong URL for this project. When convenient, remove this project, then add http://WCG_MASTER_URL_WCG/

A little earlier the Linux machines completed the upload of all work done during the migration - then the message above appeared soon after the upload...
Note they report using different time zones smile
