Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

Well my brother is 6 years younger than me and no doubt is faster than me!!! sad biggrin
Could that have to do with the '1955' in your name? wink
Since specs same (you have a wider screen to break) biggrin The HSTB must have huge and very huge work units ---- it has been over 6 months since I had single one!111h
I'll keep the screen. Too big to break.
Very little separates our Lenovos, so they should perform similarly, or?
I have a whole milk WU running with 24:45:00 elapsed and 14:32:50 remaining ~ 39 + in total before it's done.
I have another running at 11:55:30 elapsed and 07:48:20 remaining = just 20 hour when finished.
Very fast. That's a skim milk one. Not sure I met them before.

Do you think the long processing time could be due to some heavy use of the keyboard? sad

1955 is a factor, although I am in better shape than I was 5 years ago. 5mile walks at 4.2 mph each day does that to you! Thank god I was never a runner, hip or knee replacement would be a definite possibility.

keyboard use does not affect performance much... Watching videos does. MY SL410 Runs at 100 percent Wcg and the average stats are 8-10 GFLOPS.

I ran Bonic CPU BENCH MARK

4 CPUS X 2525 FLOATING POINT MIPS/CPU

Yours will be close to that if you up cpu use to 100%. and reduced accordinglye

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

4.2 mph = 6.76 km/h
5 miles = 8.05 km

I'm a walker as well.
My daily numbers are lower.
So is my 1955 laughing crying

I'll keep typing.
The rest is hmong to me sad but thank you for trying, dcs1955 smile

I'm afraid we pushed this off topic.
I usually live at Base Camp - and you?

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

My 36 hr T300 work unit was immediately validated by validating its pair completed 3 days ago! Far cry of other projects that work could be in PV for a week.

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I am suspicious that the "sweet time" for nabbing HSTB work has changed yet again. The flow has restarted, but I am no longer getting anything at xx:17/:xx47. Has anyone noticed a new "sweet time"?

Cheers coffee

One problem I have with answering your question is that HST work units have such gawdawful names that I cannot remember. So when I examine the log files, I cannot tell which downloads are HST. I receive very few HST work units ever. Now my boinc client requests WCG work units at xx:17/:xx47, but it also requests work units whenever it feels needy. So when did it get the only HST work unit I have received in the last month or so? Here are recent [World Community Grid] downloads that were followed by running an HST work unit. Was it downloaded in this batch?

No, but not many around to sample.
The 18 still on my results pages are around xx:17 and xx:47 or auto-retries thereof 2 minutes later.
I am running FAHB and HST with .3 day cache so always asking for HST.

Not many around at the moment, WUprop shows only 30 in progress.
(that's only from those of us in WUprop).

I get so few that there are no HST entries on my results page.
I am running SCC1, OpenZIKA, and HST, and getting mostly OpenZika. I will turn off OpenZika when it gets up to 180 days, which should be in the next few days.
