Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

"I get so few that there are no HST entries on my results page.
I am running SCC1, OpenZIKA, and HST, and getting mostly OpenZika. I will turn off OpenZika when it gets up to 180 days, which should be in the next few days."

Now running only SCC1 and HST, but no HST work units.

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I am now running only two tasks, HSTB and Fight Aids At Home (that seldom has work units). I turned off SetiAtHome and Rosetta. Climate Prediction also has had no work units in a very long time. I request WCG work every 30 minutes at :17 and :47 that used to get work units, but now I get only

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

The flow of work is still there. I have still been getting them at xx:17 and xx:47, but not enough of a supply to avoid needing to add some work from another project into the queues.

I have the scheduler set to add a random +/- 1 minute and I have gotten work earlier.

Cheers coffee

I notice that when I request at :17 and :47, the boinc client seems to repeat the request two minutes later.

Jean-David Beyer, as in my country we have a periodic dry spell,
there is a passing dry spell in the TB supply,
but you will receive fodder for your fierce animal so you can advance to your
desired ruby badge
just as rain will come to Denmark smile

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I've got my 2 machines set to pull HSTB first and then pull other projects if nothing is available. Here's what I've had lately...

3 on the 7th.
1 on the 5th.
1 on the 2nd.
1 on the 1st.

I had been getting just one or two each week under this configuration, so I feel like the work available has picked up just a little bit from where it was at the beginning of this year.

I have 3 machines asking "please sir, may I have some more" every 30 minutes. It is working, slowly. I got 7 today. The task scheduler just makes sure that my machines ask at the right time. It is not enough to keep them fed, so I have to supplement with work from the other WCG projects, but I am making steady progress towards a 10 year badge.

Just follow the instructions I posted, except change the time to xx:17 and xx:47.

Cheers coffee

I'm ok with the trickle, just commenting that the trickle seems to have gotten to be more than it was.
