Nice catch. I have Zika, TB, and FAH2 checked but still only got work from Zika. I send a request for more work several times per hour whenever a work units ends so they are at random times. Did you do anything special to snatch them out of the ether?

You must know the exactly time to ask the server for work ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Speedy51 at Jan 2, 2017 1:31:02 AM] |

Sorry Speedy51. I edited my post above yours. I must have had a case of wishful thinking or maybe it is the New Year. :)

Did you do anything special to snatch them out of the ether? Edit: I only get work from Zika. My mind must have been in wishful thinking mode. tmedve, currently I'm in "fishing" mode - where I've only got CEP2, FAH2 & HST selected "normally", and once a day, add in Zika - to "top up" my 1.5 day cache. At hh:03 & hh:33, I've got a scheduled job to request an update - as that seems to be the times when HST WU's appear to be around. With that configuration, I do quite often get a few HST & FAH2 WU's - but not all the time. Basically, if I do, I do (and I'm happy with my "catch", as well as shoving them to the front of my queue/getting them running), if not, then no worries - I'm still working towards my Sapphire on Zika. Edit: Since I started my "fishing" expedition (14th Dec), my HST & FAH2 totals have moved up nicely; FAH2 from 0:315:12:58:51 to 0:329:01:12:01 & HST from 0:263:22:30:41 to 0:284:22:08:02 (with 36.06 hrs stuck in PV). ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at Jan 2, 2017 2:23:43 AM] |

I send a request for more work several times per hour whenever a work units ends so they are at random times. Did you do anything special to snatch them out of the ether? Overnight I have 4 of my 5 computers set to get only HSTB and FAH2 using the 03/33 scheduling technique that gb009761 explained (Haven't gotten any HSTB since 12/27). I received the FAH2 at 04:33 PST on one computer with the scheduled boinccmd and 06:00 PST on a laptop that is running without a scheduled boinccmd. 12 of those jobs have already been returned so I don't know the time they were received. I haven't received any more up to this point. Cheers ![]() ![]() |

Still trying for that 14 day TB badge...
gb009761 mentions: At hh:03 & hh:33, I've got a scheduled job to request an update How can I set up a scheduled job like this, please? Running: medium speed 2-CPU machines on Windows Vista and linux mint netbook 2-CPU Windows 7, but this machine is not fast enough to return large TB units in a reasonable schedule Thanks! |

On Unix/Linux box use crontab to set up a schedule to launch a command or script on a recurrent basis. On Windows box use Task Scheduler to do the same. I started a thread here to discuss the subject. There are bits and pieces of the how-to scattered about threads on HSTB.
