It looks like the hopper has run dry again.

We have been expanding our storage (and upgrading to SSD) over the past week and unfortunately there was a short (several seconds) event that froze the clustered filesystem during the work. We thought we had gotten everything running again after that but we missed the indexer for the FAHB work. It was restarted about 18 hours ago and work has been flowing steadily since then. Thanks for letting us know and for your patience while work distribution was resolved.

Must have missed it, but is there a 1 per core limitation on FAHB? Getting since about 9 hours

Yes, there has always been a 1 per core limitation on the FAHB workunits since they are running with a shorter deadline on them.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Kindly make it cores+1 as I'm observing for every completing task minutes of idling while the cycle completes from uploading to confirming and reporting, before a new one is called for. 2 Hours per task times 8 cores makes total idle time in worst case nearing 3 hours a day for 1 core.
----------------------------------------Edit: After setting Report_Immediately, the cycle is shrunk to about 35 seconds.... nearly 1 hour a day lost still. 01-Nov-2018 18:35:55 [World Community Grid] Computation for task FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0 finished 01-Nov-2018 18:35:57 [World Community Grid] Started upload of FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0_r2007877235_0 01-Nov-2018 18:36:00 [World Community Grid] Finished upload of FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0_r2007877235_0 01-Nov-2018 18:36:00 [World Community Grid] Started upload of FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0_r2007877235_1 01-Nov-2018 18:36:06 [World Community Grid] Finished upload of FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0_r2007877235_1 01-Nov-2018 18:36:07 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] Starting scheduler request 01-Nov-2018 18:36:07 [World Community Grid] Sending scheduler request: To report completed tasks. 01-Nov-2018 18:36:07 [World Community Grid] Reporting 1 completed tasks 01-Nov-2018 18:36:07 [World Community Grid] Requesting new tasks for CPU 01-Nov-2018 18:36:07 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] CPU work request: 284095.81 seconds; 1.00 devices 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] Scheduler request completed: got 1 new tasks 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] Server version 701 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] Project requested delay of 121 seconds 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] estimated total CPU task duration: 7314 seconds 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] handle_scheduler_reply(): got ack for task FAH2_001462_avx17628-0_000008_000035_144_0 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] Deferring communication for 00:02:01 01-Nov-2018 18:36:11 [World Community Grid] [sched_op] Reason: requested by project 01-Nov-2018 18:36:13 [World Community Grid] Started download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-agbnp2.param 01-Nov-2018 18:36:16 [World Community Grid] Finished download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-agbnp2.param 01-Nov-2018 18:36:16 [World Community Grid] Started download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-paramstd.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:17 [World Community Grid] Finished download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-paramstd.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:17 [World Community Grid] Started download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-restangl.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:19 [World Community Grid] Finished download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-restangl.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:19 [World Community Grid] Started download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-restdist.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:20 [World Community Grid] Finished download of fahb.FAH2_001540_avx38743-7-restdist.dat 01-Nov-2018 18:36:20 [World Community Grid] Started download of 80a0bf304550a3eac0fdb479470a5839.dms 01-Nov-2018 18:36:23 [World Community Grid] Finished download of 80a0bf304550a3eac0fdb479470a5839.dms 01-Nov-2018 18:36:23 [World Community Grid] Started download of 5d81a18e7130905e4420c7e904103fde.dms 01-Nov-2018 18:36:25 [World Community Grid] Finished download of 5d81a18e7130905e4420c7e904103fde.dms 01-Nov-2018 18:36:25 [World Community Grid] Started download of 00afc02e32eec7e0c3e5fdaea4b07d83.rst 01-Nov-2018 18:36:26 [World Community Grid] Finished download of 00afc02e32eec7e0c3e5fdaea4b07d83.rst 01-Nov-2018 18:36:26 [World Community Grid] Started download of d3dadcb78b069e9aaf54476455392b97.inp 01-Nov-2018 18:36:28 [World Community Grid] Finished download of d3dadcb78b069e9aaf54476455392b97.inp 01-Nov-2018 18:36:28 [World Community Grid] Starting task FAH2_001540_avx38743-7_000005_000019_137_0 [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 1, 2018 12:51:29 PM] |

Greetings,
This is usually where others post about the FAH2 outages, we are experiencing a problem since last night on the assimilator for FAH2. I tried to correct it last night but was unable to. This has caused no new work to be generated, we may start having issues sending out new work. @lavaflow, we are looking into increasing the number of active workunits up from 1 per core as you suggested. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Greetings,
The issue with FAH2 has been resolved and there should be plenty of work back in the hopper. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Greetings,
The no work available for Vina is correct but should not be listed. I have forgotten to mark the application as deprecated, I will correct that. Thanks, -Uplinger |
