And the first few units of mine to hit their deadline have just turned to No Reply That stinks. I'm starting to get a few no reply resends. Must really be something wrong on the Harvard end. Almost 4 hours since Keith's reply and tasks still stuck.

Moral of the story - don't start a 4-day beta test depending on researchers' servers just before a weekend And a Monday national holiday in the US. |

Well, the three Beta WU's I had on one machine wouldn't progress beyond about 12% before restarting, so after two days of trying, I decided to cut my loses and abort them. The fourth WU on a different PC did progress to a conclusion (Hooray!!) but couldn't/wouldn't upload and that has now gone to No Reply - frankly, this Beta should have better management - it would appear to be a shambles on several metrics and even IF you do manage to get a WU to complete, it still ends up being a total waste of time. On this basis, I'm certainly going to consider whether it is worth participating in future Beta Testing.....

It appears that the new upload servers were created with what I would consider minimal storage. I am working with their team now to see if we can either increase that storage or off load what is there to another server. At the moment though that would mean that the releasing of the additional 41 batches is on hold.
Is anyone still affected by the too many uploads going, no new work being able to be downloaded? For your comment on being on stand-by, if an error pops up and shows on my phone, i try to check on it as quickly as possible. Others on the WCG team do the same. Thanks, -Uplinger |
