Maybe change the properties of the 32 bit 7.14 app files in the project folder to read only. The client is designed to remove apps if there is no longer work for a science, or if redundant... that is, maybe WCG techs have a server tag to tell the client to do that and when reverting to previous version they did not remove that tag? Not a very nice feature, particularly if large fixed apps and datasets are connected to a science such as CEP2 and and in the case of HST, the system requirements page prints a 'one-time download' of 30MB.
Research Project One-Time Download FightAIDS@Home - Phase 2 10 MB Help Stop TB 30 MB Mapping Cancer Markers 40 MB OpenZika 2 MB Outsmart Ebola Together 2 MB The Clean Energy Project - Phase 2 200 MB Uncovering Genome Mysteries 10 MB |

It looks like you are correct about this tag being set. There is no 7.14 client currently on the system.
----------------------------------------It seems very wasteful to have this tag set on an active client though. Could it be that they forgot to unset it when they rolled back the newer client? Or is it some kind of automatic feature when a newer version exists? I'll try your solution when I get around to it: - Manually download some WUs at 3 minutes past full/half hour, immediately suspend the project for the client to be downloaded again, wait for downloads to complete, shut down client, patch files, restart client, resume project. ![]() |

We had some issues to correct for the last beta but are working to get it out as quickly as possible. It is currently in Alpha testing and should be in beta soon.
Thanks, armstrdj |
