The irony of it is that I started Help Stop TB as soon as I found out about it and have accumulated
----------------------------------------92 results, 0:038:14:14:20 whereas I just started Smash Childhood Cancer and have already managed 327 results, 0:024:13:15:47 I am set up to do only Help Stop TB, but to send others only if the one I have selected has no work units. ![]() |

I got some at new times: 10:49 on Monday (3), and 10:26 yesterday (5) (WCG time= UTC time) To me, it'd seem crazy to start having different times other than the well publicised times of nn:03 & nn:33 - as it'd just encourage people to be resourceful and program many more requests than at present. I'm also surprised that with so few WU's in circulation, that a limit/core hasn't been brought in. It's possible I suppose that the other times were either resends for too late/invalids, or for validation/verification purposes of returned units. Re the WU/core suggestion, given that there were only a few hundred HSTB WU's returned per day out of the millions returned. I think it'd have to be 1 WU per user per week to give a fairer share to everyone. 1 per week would still only give around 4,200 crunchers a single unit, everyone else would still get none. |

I am set up to do only Help Stop TB, but to send others only if the one I have selected has no work units. Unless your client sends the request at exactly the right time, you are always going to get work for other projects. Until the flow of HSTB increases substantially (back to 20 times the current flow) I don't think you will get anything beyond the 92 unless you follow the "procedure". Cheers ![]() ![]() |

Look up Minimum System Requirement in Help what it says there. Not for Android for sure. Think there's because of a compiler [settings] issue also one or the other 32 bit science app unavailable, in [alternate] fact, was the last beta unsuccessful as a reason why the supply is so very low?

The past three calendar days have all shown less than 100 cpu days total contributed to this project. All three days had fewer than 200 work units returned, and Saturday had fewer than 100. I don't think a crontab or anything else on the volunteer side is going to help here.
I have ancestors who died of TB. I'd like to help. Is that going to be possible at some point in the future? |

What really surprises me mt4cancer, is, despite the extremely low number of WU's floating around the grid, people are missing out on capitalising on them.
----------------------------------------Take the example below (this was just 1 of 4 I've recently had), where my WU's have been stuck in PV Jail for far longer than I would have expected. As can be seen, the _0 copy errored out (with "couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - A required privilege is not held by the client. " - surely the owner of this machine would have been doing some sort of investigation by now), whilst the _2 copy has already timed out after 10 days, and the _3 copy is on the brink of timing out as well. Am I going to have to wait for another potential 4 days to get this WU counted? As can be seen, the _0 copy errored out (with "couldn't start app: CreateProcess() failed - A required privilege is not held by the client. Microsoft Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64 Edition I have seen this error come up quite frequently (on other projects) seemingly always with this OS. I am wondering if some person in some business is running BOINC without corporate permission. Yes, I realize just because it is an "enterprise" edition does not necessarily mean a business, it could be an individual. But nevertheless this error is occurring far too often to just be one person. Something is amiss, but I can't quite put my finger on it. (A little off topic because I have not seen a TB WU for weeks.) Cheers
Sgt. Joe
