Ahhh HSTB WU's .... I remember those, back in the day when I were but a young lad the servers were full o' 'em. You could throw a line in and hook 'em by the bucketful...
Nowadays they're almost extinct, some say it's man's overfishing that's to blame, some pollution in their Nottingham spawning grounds, but others blame climate change. Nobody really knows though. There were supposed to be scientists working on the problem, but nobody ever hears from them, so we can't be sure. Perhaps the scientists are extinct now also! |

I got a handful last night, all at 10:33 UTC. Enough for a partial day o' crunching. It's a slow drip.

Will be nice to get some WUs. Last one I got was from September 2016. Indeed a bit frustrating.

I asked the support if there will be more WU's in the near future. Didn't get an answer yet...

I'm leaving the handful of units to the desperate/committed at present. With only around 600 TB units per day being returned out of 1.7 million in total there isn't enough to go round.
I need over 3 years to get to 10 years, which is not going to happen with current supply levels, so there's no point in even trying. I'm leaving things until after FAH2 and SCC are up to 10 years in a few months and hopefully things will have improved by then. |

I'm inching along towards my 5Y diamond again now since SCC plays nicely with HST whereas FAAH doesn't. I've got 2 WUs across my highly capable 40 24x7 cores and 12 WUs of the long-running variety on my 4 core laptop, my least capable device. I've no idea how it managed to snag so many - completely unprecedented. I'm leaving it plugged in and running as much as possible but I don't fancy my chances of completing the work before the deadline because it's usually in my rucksack!

I got some at new times: 10:49 on Monday (3), and 10:26 yesterday (5) (WCG time= UTC time) To me, it'd seem crazy to start having different times other than the well publicised times of nn:03 & nn:33 - as it'd just encourage people to be resourceful and program many more requests than at present. I'm also surprised that with so few WU's in circulation, that a limit/core hasn't been brought in. ![]() |
