@gb009761 - the amount of spreaded WUs tells us, that the Scientists are not able (better said have not the capacity) to work with more WUs.
----------------------------------------That the WUs of "normal Users" are being crunchend in a larger amount of time may not be true - even if this were true - the Scientist cant work with / do not need more WUs. Without "cheating" i am 15 days away from ruby... The Project has just 11% of Work done - so time will let us all get min. Saphire... Just relax, lay back und enjoy your tea and every User will get what he/she wants...  |

I'm very relaxed - probably too relaxed (but that's a different matter). If I receive 1 or 2 HSTB WU's in a day, then great - I move them to the front of my cache, if not, then I'll certainly won't loose any sleep over it.

I'm not relaxed,
----------------------------------------5 year min for each project is my goal. I'm going to have an aneurism. I got 5 yesterday (or this early AM) First i've got in weeks. Been at 1 year 238 days for a month or more. I should break 239 days with these few units.  |

I have been doing WCG for almost 10 years now, and got one project up to 2 years, two up to 1 year, and less for the rest. I would be glad to get the rest up to one year. I have about 27 days on Help Stop TB, and have been signed up as long as I have known about the project.
----------------------------------------I have had as many as three computers running boinc, though I am down to only one now. I have three aneurysms and I do not recommend them. You sure do not want them to burst. It would be a grave mistake.  |

Congratulations adriverhoef - I also received 6 WU's across my two Window based machines this morning, 2 of which were resends (and, 2 of my wingmen errored out on 2 others - so 16 WU's went out in total, 4 of which were resends).

If I'd been able to foresee the difficulties in getting WUs I'd have stopped at 2 years. Very tempted to put this one down to experience, I am not really up for targeting particular times for WUs, it feels too close to feeding time at the zoo and I'm not a captive monkey! If, perchance, I get to 5y then I will quit the project with great relief. In the mean time, I will watch the daily completions in the stats (now under 1y per day) and gauge when random fishing for WUs has become a complete waste of time.   |

Hi there, I probably over-used the fishing metaphor. I see your point about not wanting to target specific times. I have written scripts to see when the WU are "released" and, aside from resends, it appears that the best way to get the WU is to target specific times. I have a saphhire taget and have only 1 year and 89 days of HST. (276 days to go.) I usually get about 5 HST WU a day and finish them within 10 hours. I'm not trying to be patronizing and admire that you have over a 2 year contribution. It just looks like getting any HST WU needs to be done at specific times now. Best wishes, Jay  |
