Re: FightAIDS@Home Estimated Completion Date ( June 4, 2015 ) ESTIMATE!!!

With There are currently about 4.5-5.0 days of Vina work remaining until we run dry again (some resends will still be sent after this). After this round of work units completes, the project will move to an intermittent status and additional work may be available in the future from researchers as needed.

Seippel's deadline is past and the feeder is still feeding Fa@H tasks... 907791 just arrived here.

Re: FightAIDS@Home Estimated Completion Date ( June 4, 2015 ) ESTIMATE!!!

It was an estimate and my FAAH contribution has tanked for the past week because the machines were busy crunching beta units. I'm sure others were in the same position.

The easiest way to extend the deadline, have another project running which in this case was the beta project.

Re: FightAIDS@Home Estimated Completion Date ( June 4, 2015 ) ESTIMATE!!!

Well CJSL, you would like to say that I have to take the offences from Hanibal94 (yes, I am one of those unhuman crunchers liking badges and other golden-calves-of-recognition), but can not replay in the similar way?
branjo, I don't agree with your assessment: Hanibal94 didn't try to insult anybody, he just voiced rather strongly what he thinks should be done. He didn't tell anybody that they were orphans or make any comments about underwear (I'm still scratching my head as to what that means...).
And since I would like to stay civil in this thread/forum/wcg, I would not post my favourite alien-emoticon
Also, please keep your alien emoticon on his planet... if he comes down to earth, there will be problems.

Fellow crunchers: we are here for the same reason: to crunch projects. Some do it for the science, some for the benefits towards mankind and some for the badges and recognition. Let's not make a mess out of things with petty differences: Crunch on and prosper !!! biggrin

Edit: (updated WU #) + is the end of the work experiment 166 with #908,573?

Re: FightAIDS@Home Estimated Completion Date ( June 4, 2015 ) ESTIMATE!!!

So obviously the order they are being dealt is not linear. I wonder if that 4 to 5 day ECD was based upon the assumption that it was linear. Given that the project page hasn't been updated since December, we really don't know which experiments have been completed.

For all we know, we have experiment 163 to completed as well as 162 and part of 161. Or, there could be just a little left of 164 and then it is done, no more work. Given that we are in the dark, all we can do is keep crunching away.

Re: FightAIDS@Home Estimated Completion Date ( June 4, 2015 ) ESTIMATE!!!

I think there are some receptors (898859-898900) from Experiment 164 which have to be dealt with before those are chrunched in Experiment 165 and 166.

My last one now is from batch 907911.
So I suppose it switches between the experiments now.

It has been updated this year but they just forgot to update the date at the top of the page. Regardless, it is behind a bit ;) I'm going to see if I can finish a few thousand more WU before the project ends. Cheers!
